I am on holiday this week and last night I stitched two blocks of Country Calendar BOM. I renamed the blocks with finnish months. January is in the middle of winter and in old days the word 'tammi' has meant 'a heart, a core or a essence'. Usually February is the coldest time of a year in Finland. Finnish name of February - 'helmikuu' - has times past infered to ice beads on the branches of trees. So I might add some beads in my February quilt later.

Wonderful. I can learn the months in Finnish as you stitch - then I won't have to look them up in a Finnish/English dictionary. It's nice that you can be productive on your holiday.
